NEW BOSTON CANCELS FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS HOPE TO RESCHEDULE IN SEPTEMBER

Mayor Williams has announced that the planned Fourth of July Fireworks have been cancelled due to the COVID19 virus along with social distancing orders and restrictions on mass gatherings. We are genuinely disappointed that fireworks will not be happening this Independence Day, but our major concern is for the safety of our community, visitors and employees who would be attending and working the event.”

The virus situation will be revisited in September to determine if a community celebration with fireworks can be performed safely and in accordance with state and local health orders as Ohio continues to reopen activities. The Mayor continued, “The community certainly needs a celebration and we are very optimistic and determined to hold an event later in the year.”

The Mayor also stated that the Fourth of July Fireworks will most certainly continue in 2021.
