New Boston Mayor Junior Williams and Village Council have announced that “Party at the Park lit” festival is coming to New Boston’s Millbrook Park on Saturday, September28. The event returns for a third time after two very successful outings the previous two years. Mayor Williams credits local sponsors and volunteers for making the event possible. “The amount of positive feedback from the public over the past two years has made for an easy decision to continue the event”, stated Williams. “ Everyone seems to have had a great time and we expect the same this year. This is just a great family event and would never be possible without our sponsors, local business support and volunteers.”
Live music featuring Shane Runion Band, Frank Grasso, Josh Stewart Band, Poverty String Band and Second Chance will be performing from noon till 8:30 pm followed by a fireworks display. Kids activities will run from noon till 6 pm and will feature a Cartoonist, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Inflatables, Kiddie Barrel Train Rides, Games, Prizes and more. Concession stand, food vendors, craft exhibitors and more will be available. A few spots remain for vendors and exhibitors. If interested, contact the Mayor’s office at 740-456-4103, ext 2.

AEP has informed New Boston officials that a planned power outage for necessary repairs will take place in the Village of New Boston from 4 am till 7 am on Saturday, August 17, 2019. The outage will affect the entire Village except from the Walmart store east to the corporation line. Village officials ask motorists to use extreme caution travelling through intersections as traffic signal lights will be affected
New Boston 4th of July Fireworks will be held at Millbrook Park on Thursday, July 4, 2019.

Saturday, June 1, 2019 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Any resident may have a yard sale with no permit needed.
GORDMANS RETAILER HIRING AT NEW BOSTON STORE
New Boston Goody’s is one of twenty-five new Ohio stores rebranding to Gordmans Department Store. The apparel and home décor retailer Gordmans, opening in June, is hiring and will be having a job fair Wednesday, May 22 at the Goody’s store in New Boston. Gordmans is hiring for a variety of positions. Interested candidates are invited to first apply at http://www.gordmans.com/careers and then visit the job fair from 11 am to 7 pm. Walk-ins are welcome!

New Boston’s annual Christmas celebration will be held this year on Saturday, December 1.
The 25th anniversary of “Breakfast with Santa” will run from 9 am til 11 am.
Residents are invited for breakfast and children will have an opportunity to speak to Santa about their wish list and receive a gift.
The annual Christmas Parade will begin at 5 pm later that day. The parade route will be from the New Boston Shopping Center (Tractor Supply / Pat Catan’s) turning east onto Rhodes Avenue, north on Park Avenue, west on Gallia Street, south onto West Avenue, east on Rhodes Avenue and ending at the New Boston Community Center where cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Anyone interested in participating in the parade are encouraged to contact the Village of New Boston prior to the event to register their group.
