AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC <\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/h3>\n

M<\/span><\/i>ayor Williams and New Boston Village Council have announced that an “Economic Relief F<\/span>und<\/span>\u201d <\/span>has <\/span>b<\/span>een established to financially assist New Boston individuals and small businesses <\/span>who have been economically affected by the Coronavirus (COVID<\/span>–<\/span>19) pandemic<\/span>. <\/span>The federal <\/span>d<\/span>ollars are provided to the Village through the Federal CARES Act fund distributed to the Village <\/span>of New Boston for necessary pandemic related <\/span>expenses <\/span>and small business grant programs. <\/span><\/p>\n

The funds may be used by New Boston residents to provide financial relief for rent<\/span>, <\/span>mortgage<\/span>, <\/span>and utility payments for those economically impacted by t<\/span>h<\/span>e virus while small businesses may <\/span>also receive relief from operating costs due to the virus. There is a maximum award up to <\/span>$1<\/span>,<\/span>000 <\/span>for <\/span>each household or small business<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The program is <\/span>being <\/span>administered by Community Action of Scioto County, where applications may <\/span>be <\/span>picked<\/span>–<\/span>up <\/span>beginning <\/span>on Monday, September 14. T<\/span>he <\/span>$50<\/span>,<\/span>000 fund will only be <\/span>available until the end <\/span>of <\/span>the year or when the fund monies have <\/span>been <\/span>distributed<\/span>, <\/span>whichever <\/span>comes first<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n
