The Village of New Boston repaired the 70-foot flag pole in Millbrook Park, next to U.S. 52 west, Thursday (Sept. 18), with help from Terry Moore, Don Hadsell and J&H Erectors.
“I believe when you have contractors that are willing to give back to the community to fix a problem, that the village didn’t have the equipment to do the job with, is a move in the right direction for the future,” Village Administrator Steve Hamilton said.

Members of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, in New Boston, participated in village clean up projects on July 14. People volunteered their time to help put a new front porch on a house on Stanton Avenue, put a new sidewalk and window into a disabled individual’s home on Rhodes Avenue, and also painted the pressboxes, concessions and storage buildings at the park.
