During the regular meeting of the New Boston Village Council on Nov. 18, council members voted to appoint Marcella Newman to the vacant village council seat. Newman will complete the unexpired term left by the resignation of former council member Steve Hamilton and voters will have a chance to decide the permanent replacement when the original term expires in 2009. Newman will serve as chair of the Streets and Alley Committee.
