The New Boston Village Council met Jan. 6 in its first regular meeting of 2009; preceded by a brief organizational meeting to appoint a council president pro-tempe, decide on a 2009 meeting schedule, and appoint council committee members.
Councilman Junior Williams was re-appointed as council president pro-tempe, and announced the meeting schedule would not change in 2009. Council will continue to meet on the first and third Tuesday’s of each month, at 6:30 p.m., in the Vern Riffe Community Center.
Mayor James Warren also handed out the committee appointment list, which reads as follows:
