In September 2012, Daymar College, the Village of New Boston, and local veterans groups dedicated the Dunkin-Applegate Memorial. It is located in front of Daymar College, and serves as a tribute to all military and first responders. It is named after Tony Applegate and New Boston Fireman Rocky Dunkin.
