New Boston Village Administrator Steve Hamilton said village trash pick-up for the week of Dec. 21 through 26 will be as follows: Monday and Tuesday trash pick-up will continue on schedule. In observance of the Christmas holiday, Thursday’s trash pick up for all homes and businesses west of Glenwood Avenue has been moved to Wednesday, and Friday’s trash pick-up for homes and businesses east of Glenwood Avenue has been moved to Thursday. Trash pick-up will return to regular schedule next week.

New Boston Mayor and Village Council invite the community to join them at Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 5, from 9-11 a.m. in the village community center on Rhodes Avenue.

Following the results of the general election on Nov. 3, New Boston councilman Terry Salyers was re-elected to serve a second term, and Ralph Imes, Jr. was elected to join council also. Imes will suceed councilwoman Marcella Newman, who was appointed by Village Council on Nov. 18, 2008 to complete the unexpired term of former councilman Steve Hamilton. Salyers and Imes will both be officially sworn-in to begin their new terms in January. Voters also approved a village renewal levy for current expenses by a vote of 306-103.
